DR. Tabitha
TRNQL Acupuncture was created with a simple but powerful mission: to provide patient-centered care that honors the whole person. We believe that true healing happens when people feel seen, heard, and supported—not just for their symptoms, but for who they are. Our practice is built on the foundation of meeting patients exactly where they are on their health journey, offering compassionate care without judgment. At TRNQL, we are more than a clinic—we are a place of connection, healing, and balance, where your story matters and your well-being is our highest priority.
Our Founder
Dr. Tabitha Hannon, the founder of TRNQL Acupuncture, is a California Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist. She earned both her Doctorate and Master’s of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Health and Science in San Diego, where she received comprehensive training in acupuncture, herbal medicine, and Western medicine. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological Science, providing her with a strong foundation in human physiology and a unique ability to bridge the gap between modern science and traditional healing.
Tabitha is passionate about preventative care—supporting patients in maintaining health and balance before issues become chronic. Her clinical focus includes pain management, women’s health, digestive health, stress and sleep support, and cosmetic acupuncture, offering patients both internal healing and external rejuvenation.
At the heart of her approach is the principle of addressing the root cause of imbalance, not just the symptoms. By combining acupuncture, herbal medicine, cupping, gua sha, and cosmetic treatments, she empowers patients to heal in a way that feels holistic, lasting, and deeply personalized. With experience treating patients in diverse settings such as UCSD’s oncology, chronic pain, labor & delivery, and ICU units, Dr. Hannon founded TRNQL Acupuncture as a calm space for individuals to restore balance, feel their best, and embrace wellness in body, mind, and spirit.

Your first appointment includes a thorough consultation to review your health history, lifestyle, and goals, followed by an acupuncture treatment. The session lasts about 75–90 minutes. Most patients find acupuncture deeply relaxing, and many feel lighter, calmer, or more energized afterward

Acupuncture needles are very fine—about the width of a human hair—and insertion is usually painless. Some people feel a brief tingling, warmth, or heaviness at the point, which quickly subsides. Treatments are generally described as calming and restorative.

We do not bill insurance directly. However, we are happy to provide you with a detailed receipt (called a “superbill”) that you can submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement, depending on your plan. Payment is due at the time of service.
-
The number of treatments varies depending on your condition and health goals. Some patients notice improvement after just one session, while others may need a series of weekly treatments for more chronic concerns. After your initial visit, we’ll create a personalized plan that best supports your healing.

Try to eat a light meal or snack within a few hours of your session—acupuncture is best not done on an empty stomach. Stay hydrated, and avoid excessive caffeine or alcohol beforehand so your body can fully relax and respond.
